Green light to Praj for the commence of the activities of other cellulosic ethanol biorefinery project in India

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has issued a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to Praj regarding to the cellulosic ethanol biorefinery to be built in Panipat (see press release, 16/5/2018). Praj’s scope for the said project comprises license of proprietary technology, design package and project management services (EPCM) for a value of Rs 38.7 cr (approximately, 4.8 M€). In this way, two of the three projects whose agreements of intention were signed by Praj at the end of 2016 (see “Agreements to set up several cellulosic ethanol biorefineries in India”, 23/12/2016) are in progress. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) gave the formal confirmation towards commencement of the activities in the other one (located in Bargarh) last February (see “Praj receives confirmation to initiate work on commercial scale cellulosic ethanol plant for BPCL”, 26/2/2018).
