Oceanium raises 2.3 M€ to scale-up its seaweed biorefinery platform

Oceanium , UK-based seaweed processing and food & material innovation company, has announced the close of a seed round worth 2.3 M€, led by Green Angel Syndicate with World Wildlife Fund. It will use the funds to scale up its proprietary biorefinery and processing model to open up the market for the nascent sustainable seaweed farming industry. Biomega invests in a new biorefinery in Denmark

The new biorefinery follows the company’s recent upgrade of its flagship site, strategically located on the west coast of Norway, near Bergen.
