ALGAL BIOREFINERY

Algae biomass is considered a potential renewable resource for biobased chemicals and energy. In fact, algae can be the basis of a highly efficient and totally integrated biorefinery (Biorefinery models - Algal biorefinery). In this sense, an algal biorefinery can be defined as a facility that integrates biomass conversion processes and equipment to produce fuels, power and value added chemicals, from algal biomass.

Here, you will find links to information and resources about algal biorefineries and algae as feedstock in green chemistry. You can collaborate to build this section. If you have some interesting contribution for some of the topics below, do not hesitate to contact me via info@biorefinno.com.
