In 2019, Delta Air Lines invested 2 M$ to collaborate with NWABF to study the financial feasibility of an advanced biofuel production facility. Earlier this year, NWABF also announced the selection of Black & Veatch as EPC contractor.
NWABF has assembled a world-class team of technology companies to handle the different processes involved: gasification, syngas cleaning and scrubbing, syngas treatment, Fischer-Tropsch technology and fuel upgrading. The projected production costs for this project are economically sound and the company have access to long-term feedstock from forest slash, sawmills and chipping operations. It also has a 10-year offtake agreement with Delta Airlines.
Now, NWABF is holding active discussions with top US Infrastructure and Energy Investment firms and also with industry partners (not identified due to regulatory compliance issues). As a result, final development funding is expected to close soon.
