The acquired assets include all associated intellectual property and patents including that for process design and the zymomonas ethanologens. The acquisition of this technology by STC allows Petron Scientech to expand the family of renewable fuels and chemicals technologies that it licenses and provides (biofuels, olefins from alcohols, ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol, PE, EDC and SBR). STC plans to license the technology globally, including in biorefineries under development by BioChem USA LLC (see “BioChem USA to set up a biorefinery in the Indian state of Gujarat”, 6/2/2019).
