Leaf and B&G sign MOU for the feedstock supply of the first Malaysian Glycell biorefinery

- Leaf Resources Limited (Leaf) has just announced that it has taken another step in developing its first Malaysian biorefinery by signing a Fibre Supply Agreement with Biovision & Greenergy SDN BHD (B&G).
- The companies will negotiate to complete definitive legal agreements for B&G to supply Leaf with 100,000 bone dry metric tons per year of oil palm empty fruit bunch fibre (EFBF) that the Australian company can use to produce industrial sugars, lignin and refined glycerol though its propriety Glycell process.
- The agreement has an initial term of 10 years and would see the companies work together during the design and pre-operation period of the Segamat biorefinery to accommodate delivery and storage areas and protocols for the EFBF.
