CE&P and Saipem sign an agreement for the construction of an ethanol plant in California

California Ethanol & Power,
LLC (CE&P) and Saipem
and have signed a Memorandum of Understanding as well as an exclusive agreement
for the realisation of a low carbon emission plant for the production of
ethanol, electricity, biomethane and other secondary products derived from
sugar cane (see press
release, 2/7/2018). Saipem will carry out the design and construction of
the non-electrical part of the entire project and related services. General
Electric was selected as the EPC firm for the power island some months ago.
