Cassarev is a value chain program designed to explore the many advantages of cassava towards the economic development of Ondo State and it will be the basis for the successful establishment of a cassava-to-ethanol plant in the region. According to a statement released by the Ondo State Ministry of Information last month, the facility being constructed at the Ondo / Linyi Industrial Hub within Ore Industrial Park will soon be ready for operation. The investment has come after a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ondo State Government and the Linyi Municipal Republic during the visit of the Ondo governor to China last year. When completed, the plant will need 300 to 400 tons of cassava daily.
