Technip Energies awarded pre-EPC contract from Circa Group for Resolute project

Sustainable biochemicals company Circa Group AS has engaged Technip Energies to conduct pre-EPC phase engineering work as the next step in the execution stage of the ReSolute project.

The contract with Technip Energies deliberately overlaps the basic engineering design stage currently managed by Wood Consulting and has the main objectives of:
(i) maintaining the project schedule as the project starts early-stage engineering; 
(ii) construction activities on site, specifically those of site preparation, and readiness of buildings. It also allows for a head start of detail engineering and ordering of long lead items (LLIs).

Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) has announced a final investment decision to build a biofuels facility with a capacity of 820 ktons/year at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rotterdam (the Netherlands) formerly known as the Pernis refinery. Once built, the facility will be among the biggest in Europe to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel made from waste. According to S&P Global Platts, last month, State-owned energy company Beijing Sanju Environmental Protection & New Materials launched a 400 ktons/year capacity HVO plant in Rizhao (Shandong, China) province. Shell and Raízen sign cellulosic ethanol deal
