BIOSWITCH project launches a survey to understand brand owners’ risks, needs and incentives when switching to biobased approaches

BIOSWITCH is a recently started BBI JU project aimed at assisting brand owners in improving the market penetration of many of the biobased products that are emerging during the last years. The project has just launched a survey to understand brand owners’ risks, needs and incentives when switching to biobased approaches.

Too often, brand owners are reluctant to invest in taking a biobased solution due to perceived risks and uncertainties. BIOSWITCH partners want to shape solutions to mitigate such risks, but first they need to understand them. 
- Which are the main barriers preventing companies from switching to bio-based? 
- What are the motivating factors for brand owners to take bio-based approaches?
