The announcement represents another major step
toward the commercialization of Sunliquid technology for advanced biofuels in
Europe. In the fall of last year, Clariant broke ground on its greenfield
first-of-its-kind full-scale commercial cellulosic ethanol plant in Podari
(Romania). Also, Clariant announced the sign of the first technology license
agreement with Enviral (a member of the Envien Group) in September 2017. For
ORLEN Południe, the agreement will further solidify its position as a
forerunner in the Polish biofuels and bio-component technologies.
