ARD acquires the pilot platform of Procethol-2G

- ARD, a French company specialized in the fields of industrial biotechnology and green chemistry and R&D branch of the cooperative Vivescia, acquired the pilot platform of Procethol-2G on November 1, 2018. The company, of which Vivescia and ARD are two of its eleven shareholders, has developed the "Futurol" process, a proprietary 2G ethanol production technology. The 12 employees of Procethol-2G, will joined the ARD team.
- This investment will enable ARD to accelerate its industrial and commercial development while offering a second life to Procethol-2G cellulosic biomass pretreatment unit, installed since 2008 on the Pomacle-Bazancourt biorefinery. Due to lack of funding, Procethol-2G could no longer ensure the continuity of its operations.
