After three months of testing, this monthly/fortnightly service will be replaced by the issue of single short posts for each news in brief. In this way, I expect to improve the possibilities of indexing and searching in the blog and achieve a more immediate distribution of the news.

DSM expands strategic alliance with Amyris and acquires its brazilian production facility.
They have enhanced their strategic alliance through the sale of Amyris Brasil Ltda to DSM and the establishment of a long-term manufacturing partnership.
With the acquisition of the Brotas 1 facility, designed to produce high volumes of farnesene, DSM adds a state-of-the-art biotechnology-based production site in Brazil to its global network.

Using proven technologies, Global Bioenergies condensed bio-isobutene molecules to produce a cosmetic ingredient used in numerous formulations for its texturing properties. It was produced as part of the ISOPROD project.

A study for the EC coordinated by CENER gathers information on ILUC GHG emissions associated with biofuels production.
The European Commission by its Directorate-General for Energy commissioned CENER the coordination of this study which has been jointly elaborated with researchers of Wageningen Economic Research, Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and Wageningen Environmental Research.

Lignin-based biofuels have been produced at pilot scale as part of the BioLi2.0 research project.  
Those biofuels could be used in common engines and be produced in existing oil refineries.
A research team from RISE and other industry partners work in this initiative within the BioInnovation strategic programme founded by Forest Industries, IKEM and TEKO.
