Base de datos de biorrefinerías comerciales / Database of commercial biorefineries
Antes de nada, feliz 2015 a todos los lectores.
Comienza el año y con él, despiertan nuevos propósitos. Por eso, la primera
entrada de este 2015, quiero dedicarla a presentar un pequeño proyecto que
estoy iniciando para dar a conocer las principales biorrefinerías comerciales
europeas. Por un lado, he habilitado un nueva página del blog (Biorrefinerías comerciales) en la que se recoge un listado de las instalaciones
de este tipo en Europa. Por otro, iré preparando una entrada por cada una de
las biorrefinerías de la lista con un resumen de la información técnica más
relevante de las mismas. Estas entradas estarán vinculadas a la lista de tal
manera que aquel que quiera ampliar la información sobre una de las
biorrefinerías, pueda acceder fácilmente a ella desde el directorio con el
listado. De esta manera, se irá conformando una especie de banco de datos. Before

purposes are raising. So, the first post of this 2015, it will be dedicated to
introduce a small project to make the main European commercial biorefineries
public. On the one hand, I have created a new page of the blog (Commercial biorefineries) with a list of
the main facilities of this kind in Europe. On the other hand, I will prepare a
post per each one of the biorefineries in the list with a summary of the most
relevant technical information. These posts will be linked to the list in such
a way that whoever wants to broaden the information about one of the
biorefineries can access easily to it. Thus, a data bank will be formed.
Ya existe algún listado reciente en lengua inglesa.
En concreto, la IEA Bioenergy Task 42 Biorefining ha publicado uno muy completo
que incluye no sólo instalaciones comerciales sino también plantas piloto y
conceptos. Sin embargo, no tengo constancia de ningún listado en español por lo
que espero que pueda ser de utilidad. Como lo actualizaré con las
nuevas plantas que vayan entrando en funcionamiento, también publicaré la lista
y las entradas en inglés con la esperanza de que pueda convertirse en una
referencia útil a un nivel más global. Se agradece cualquier contribución con
información técnica sobre las instalaciones o sugerencias sobre otras plantas a
tener en cuenta. Si el proyecto tiene éxito, intentaré ampliar la base de datos
con instalaciones piloto y/o nuevas zonas. Some recent list in English does
exist. Specifically, the IEA Bioenergy Task 42 Biorefining has published a very
complete one that includes not only commercial facilities but also pilot plants
and concepts. However, there is no evidence of any list in Spanish, so I hope
it will be useful. As I will update it with new running plants, I will publish
the list and the post in English waiting for it to become a usable tool in a
more global level. Any contribution with technical information about the
facilities or suggestion about other plants to be taken into account will be
highly appreciated. If the project is successful, I will try to widen the
database with pilot plants and/or new regions.
