Origin Materials and Mitsui partner to industrialize carbon-negative chemicals and materials

Origin Materials and Mitsui have formed a strategic partnership to industrialize advanced carbon-negative chemicals and materials.

This strategic partnership aims to rapidly develop and industrialize new sustainable carbon-negative products for the automotive, chemicals, electronics, packaging, textiles, construction, and personal care industries, based on Origin Materials’ patented technology platform. The partnership will leverage Mitsui’s global supply chain strength, access to Japanese and international markets, and leadership in business innovation. As part of the partnership, Mitsui signed a multi-year capacity reservation agreement to purchase sustainable carbon-negative materials from Origin Materials.

Aemetis acaba de anunciar que su unidad para demostrar la producción de etanol celulósico ha estado funcionando más de 120 días con una disponibilidad del 94%, cumpliendo los requerimientos para conseguir un crédito garantizado federal del Programa de Apoyo a Biorrefinerías Sección 9003 de la USDA (véase nota de prensa , 6/3/2018). La instalación está ubicada en el Centro Tecnológico de InEnTec en Richland (Washington) y fue construida como escaparate de la producción de etanol celulósico y harina de pescado a través de la integración de la tecnología de gasificación avanzada de InEnTec con la fermentación microbiana patentada de LanzaTech.
